The Sheep

The Finals committee has located a flock of 2,400 North Country Cheviot crosses to use at the 2010 Finals. These sheep are in good health and are currently being shepherded on over 600 acres of beautiful, rolling hills. The Finals will have the use of 650 sheep from this flock. These sheep have never been used in a trial before and have only been worked by dogs in groups of 100 to 125. They should be an interesting and rewarding challenge for all teams!

Accommodations

Although the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Strasburg, VA does not allow dogs, they have offered generous discounts for our judges. Check out this hotel if you're traveling without canine companions!

Linda Tesdahl and Barb Klein have created an awesome rating of nearby motels for itinerant sheepdoggers, using a handy five-paw rating system!

Here's the long-awaited information about camping.

Practice Field

Susan Rhoades will be hosting the practice field at Keepstone Farm in Berryville, Virginia. Contact Susan directly (540-907-9511) for more information and rates
